Yarok (Green) Programs and Hikes: See Israel with Israelis: Each month, SPNI offers a schedule of Hebrew-speaking hikes and trips for individuals and families. Field School Stays: SPNI's Field Schools, located in Israel's most beautiful natural areas offer accommodations, dining, hikes and walking tours. Birdwatching with SPNI: Israel is a birders' paradise year-round, but especially in the spring and fall, when an estimated 500 million birds migrate over its flyway. Derech Hateva (The Way of Nature): Derech Hateva offers programs customized for synagogues, schools, community groups and families. These single - or multi-day programs integrate outdoor and nature education, Jewish learning and living and community service. Saturday programs observe the Shabbat. Etz Hayim (Tree of Life) Eco-Service and Hikes in Jerusalem: Etz Hayim offers day hikes in Jerusalem, as well as community service opportunities to volunteer groups, families, and individuals. Visitors to Israel work side-by-side with new immigrants, the elderly, orphans, terror victims, at-risk teens, and children with special needs on a variety of ecological projects. Israel Experience for Teens: Spend this summer in Israel having fun & challenging yourself to the extreme on Derech Hateva’s Israel Trail Teen Adventure (ITTA)! This month-long program combines backpacking, hiking, biking, swimming and rock climbing with Jewish-learning and volunteering, along the Israel Trail (Shvil Yisrael) in the North & South of the country.

ITTA is open for both North American and Israeli teens ages 14-18, who want to have an amazing experience and go beyond their limits. This summer's adventure dates are, July 6th- August 4th, 2008, for girls and July 7th- August 5th, 2008 for boys. Each group has between 9-12 members, and 2-3 highly trained and experienced bi-lingual educator/guides. Groups focus on outdoor living, leadership skills and teamwork, and learn to keep kosher and Shabbat all while on the trail. There are both Orthodox and Multi-Denominational groups. Fresh to Derech Hateva comes ITTA - Session II. Later dates, August 12th – 26th, a different route- a whole new adventure in classic ITTA spirit.

Birthright Israel: SPNI, through Birthright Israel, offers an Eco-Israel Trip for 18-26 year olds who have never visited Israel as part of an organized group. For registration and information, see http://spni.birthrightisrael.com .
